Femizide stoppen! Prävention ernst nehmen! Konkrete Maßnahmen zum Schutz von Frauen vor Gewalt umsetzen!

Innerhalb von nur drei Tagen wurden in Berlin zwei Frauen mutmaßlich von ihren (ehemaligen) Partnern ermordet. Diese schockierenden Fälle sind Teil eines besorgniserregenden Trends: Laut dem Bundeslagebild „Häusliche Gewalt 2023“ des Bundeskriminalamts ist die Anzahl der Opfer häuslicher Gewalt in den letzten fünf Jahren deutlich angestiegen, mit insgesamt 256.276 Vorfällen im letzten Jahr (2019: 214.481; +19,5 %). Darunter waren 155 ermordete Frauen. Oftmals hatten die Frauen bereits alle bestehenden rechtlichen Schutzmaßnahmen ausgeschöpft.

 

Trotz bestehender rechtlicher Schutzmaßnahmen bleiben viele Frauen in akuter Gefahr. Auch das Opfer in Berlin-Zehlendorf hatte sich bereits von ihrem Ex-Ehemann getrennt und war in eine neue Wohngegend gezogen, nachdem sie mehrfach häusliche Gewalt erlebt und angezeigt hatte. Ein gerichtlich erwirktes Annäherungsverbot konnte den Mord jedoch nicht verhindern. Diese tragischen Fälle zeigen, dass die bestehenden Schutzmaßnahmen nicht ausreichen, um Frauen effektiv vor tödlicher Gewalt zu schützen. Daher müssen Maßnahmen entwickelt und umgesetzt werden, die nicht nur eine abschreckende Wirkung auf Täter haben, sondern zugleich Sicherheit und körperliche Unversehrtheit für bedrohte Frauen und ihre Angehörige bieten. Bei der Bekämpfung von Gewalt gegen Frauen sind die sozialen Unterstützungs-, Strafverfolgungs- und Justizsysteme gefragt, Frauen angemessen vor Gewalttätern zu schützen.

 

Der Landesfrauenrat fordert daher konkrete Maßnahmen, die Frauen und Kindern Schutz bieten. Dazu gehören die sofortige Umsetzung der Istanbul Konventionen in Form des Landesaktionsplans gegen Gewalt an Frauen, die finanzielle Absicherung des Hilfenetzwerks sowie die Einberufung eines Runden Tisches unter Einbeziehung der Zivilgesellschaft. Es braucht ein starkes Netzwerk an Unterstützung, damit bedrohte Frauen schnell und unkompliziert Hilfe erhalten.

 

Ein wichtiger Schritt zur Prävention ist auch die Aufmerksamkeit und Sensibilisierung in der Öffentlichkeit. Achten Sie auf das Hilfezeichen gegen häusliche Gewalt: eine Hand mit dem Daumen nach innen, die Finger werden darüber geschlossen. Dieses Zeichen kann diskret gezeigt werden, um auf eine akute Gefahr aufmerksam zu machen. Wir rufen alle auf, das Zeichen zu kennen und ernst zu nehmen. Sehen Sie nicht weg! Dieses Zeichen kann Leben retten.

 

Frauen, die Unterstützung benötigen, können sich jederzeit an die BIG-Hotline wenden:

030 – 611 03 00. Hier erhalten Betroffene von Gewalt anonym und kostenlos Beratung und Hilfe.

 

Zudem muss das gesellschaftliche Bewusstsein für die Ursachen von Gewalt gegen Frauen geschärft werden. Frauen brauchen wirtschaftliche und emotionale Unabhängigkeit, um frei entscheiden zu können, wo und mit wem sie leben möchten. Gleichzeitig müssen wir Männer dazu ermutigen, sich von überholten Rollenbildern zu befreien und es allen Menschen ermöglichen, respektvoll und gleichberechtigt zusammenzuleben.

 

Der Landesfrauenrat Berlin steht für den Schutz und die Rechte von Frauen und fordert alle Akteur*innen auf, sich gemeinsam für eine Gesellschaft ohne Gewalt einzusetzen. Wir trauern um die ermordeten Frauen und unsere Gedanken sind bei den Kindern, die ihre Mütter verloren haben.

 

Dr. Christine Kurmeyer, Vorstandsmitglied des Landesfrauenrats und Frauen- und Gleichstellungsbeauftragte der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin fordert daher im Namen des Landesfrauenrats Berlin: „Gewalt gegen Frauen kommt in allen gesellschaftlichen Klassen und Schichten vor – die Zahlen aus der Gewaltschutzambulanz der Charité sind da ganz eindeutig. Deshalb muss ein gesamtgesellschaftlicher Prozess stattfinden, um die Rechte von Frauen auf Unabhängigkeit und körperliche Unversehrtheit in allen Köpfen zu verankern.“
